I know it's pointless to post only the head of a guitar. Yet this photo has definitely something, ain't it? Allright guys, it's been a long time. Less than 12 months to be honest since I've started playing guitar seriously. I have never been so unremitting on learning something new. I wanted to know everything from the advanced rythm techniques: folkpicking, strumming, simple picking, voicing (playing 2 or 3 melodies at the same time and adding a rythm sound if you can!) and I played and played again until I got them. This was kinda obsessive. I often played many hours within a single day after my shift or early in the morning. Today, I can play 30/40 songs in a very accurate way (I banned the internet tabs and went for the real books) from Bob Dylan to Radiohead (most of their "acoustic" songs especially "Creep", "Fake Plastic Tree", "Karma Police"), not forgetting my beloved Iron&Wine, Sufjan Stevens and many more. I spent countless hours in the guitar shops staring at those real guitar things until I tried this Martin&Co DR guitar (of mine now). Martin&Co is the sound of the USA, no kidding. When playing on one of those guitars, there's definitely something uncommon in the way they sound. Something we know very well because Martin guitars have been played in so many records. That kind of overtone sound of country/folk and pop music. Well, rock guitarists are more on the Gibson things I guess :) I bought one, got a little setup on it and I enjoy every minute played on it. It's not the high-end in the Martin&Co catalog yet it was definitely worth the money.

This beautiful object is my new guitar. A Fender electro-acoustic folk guitar. Being a pianist, I have been led to guitar playing by my young brother and I know I still have a lot of room for improvement regarding my skills :) Anyway, it has that typical US sound I like found in my favorite records and hopefully you'll find it in my own songs.

In the middle, this is the "Mont Blanc" which is the highest mountain in Europe (around 4810 meters). I still can't realize how high it is since I shot this picture at a "serious" altitude of 2500 meters while skiing in the french Alps. That's only the half though ! Well, maybe it's time to think about climbing it up !

Some perspectives in New York City. This was some steps away from the legacy Staten Island ferry pier.

An amazing burning sky at the end of the day. This was a pure light bath. Rare moment. No PS.
